Cerro de San Cristóbal Norte

Type: Lookout with disabled access. Location: Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche (Huelva, Almonaster La Real). The mountain of Cerro de San Cristóbal offers a viewing point with one of the widest views to be found in the geography of the protected area. On its north face can be seen the highest town, Castaño del Robledo, as well as the second highest peak of the nature park, the Cerro del Castaño (969 m). These soils support extensive chestnut groves and orchards which are very characteristic of the area. The riverside vegetation betrays the presence of the courses of rivers and streams. This picture shows the ravine of Los Romeros at the feet of Repilao and the Caliente River at the feet of Los Romeros, both of them population centres belonging to Jabugo, in the middle of the beautiful postcard landscape that is formed from the lookout. What is more, the location is an excellent place for spotting migratory birds.
